Photo Prints
For fun, friends, and fundraisers, I’ve turned my love of photography into making prints.
Hampton Band Association Photo Print Fundraiser
New this year, you can support the Hampton Band Association by ordering photo prints directly from me. I’ll donate all proceeds to the HBA. Here are the details:
Visit my Pixieset site (https://wallace-media.pixieset.com/). I’ve posted every photo I took and edited from this season in the albums shown there. You can select the photos, sizes, and finishes you want as well as pay. You’ll also find a couple of special albums
Featured Photos - These are some of the most distinctive moments from this season, and to make them easier to find, I’ve put them in their own special album. (They also appear in the album for the event at which they were taken)
Panoramic Photos - These wide-format photos are three times as wide as they are high, and offer a unique perspective on some of the most colorful and powerful moments of the season.
Some things to know:
Sizes - Only large-format prints (8 x 8, 8 x 10, 11 x 14, 11 x 17, 12 x 16, 12 x 18) are available for order. If you're looking for smaller prints (4 x 6 or 5 x 7), you're encouraged to order from a retailer. Printing them isn’t worth it for just a fundraiser.
Finishes - When you select a picture and the size you would like, you'll be asked to choose a finish. If you're unsure and don't have a strong preference, select glossy. It is the standard finish from retailers such as Shutterfly and CVS/Target. Glossy, Semi-Glossy, and Matte are all standard finishes and are priced the same. Luster and Fine Art are premium finishes, and the cost for those prints is slightly higher. To give you an idea of the difference, I've taken a picture of each finish (although admittedly, it's tricky to show it in a photo).
Glossy is the brightest and most vivid paper, ideal for high-saturation color and sharp detail. Its ultra-smooth, high-gloss finish makes colors pop and creates dramatic contrast. However, its reflective surface can cause noticeable glare in well-lit areas or behind glass. It's best suited for vibrant scenes or standout wall pieces in controlled lighting.
Semi-Glossy offers a softer shine than full gloss; it provides a beautiful balance of color vibrancy and a subtler surface. It produces rich tones and deep blacks with less glare than glossy, making it suitable for various lighting conditions. Great for portraits and everyday display.
Matte features a smooth, non-reflective surface and a gentle, muted finish. It delivers excellent detail and tonal range with a more natural, artistic look. Ideal for black-and-white photos, minimalist prints, or brightly lit rooms where glare is a concern.
Luster, often considered the photographer’s choice, combines the rich color of glossy with the subtle texture of matte. Its slightly textured
Fine Art paper is a museum-quality, 100% cotton rag paper with a distinctly textured surface that gives prints a soft, painterly feel. Designed for fine art reproduction, it brings a rich, tactile quality to photographs, making them look more like original artwork. Colors appear deep and vibrant, with excellent tonal range and archival durability. This is the ideal choice for turning a photo into a statement piece. Prints on Fine Art paper are slightly more expensive due to the premium nature of the material.
Frames - The print sizes offered are all standard, and you shouldn't have trouble finding frames through major retailers or online to match the print sizes. If you're ordering panoramic photos, be sure to measure the space before you order, especially since the 10 x 30 and 12 x 36 prints are large.
For standard-size prints, I am personally a big fan of the frames from Haus and Hues (Amazon.com Store Link), as they are of good quality and affordable
For panoramic prints, I don't have a favorite, but the frames I've gotten from HOMESEVEN (Amazon.com Store Link) have been easy to work with and sturdy.
